National Greening ProgramPresident Benigno S. Aquino III issued Executive Order No. 26 ordering and declaring the implementation of a National Greening Program as a government priority. The program shall plant 1.5 billion trees covering about 1.5 million hectares by 2016.

The DENR Catanduanes has started the implementation of National Greening Program provincewide thru coordination and information, education campaign with local government officials, school officials, elementary and high schools and community leaders for the preparation of MOA as adaptors in the greening program.
